17 Mar 2005   DHI and Microsoft® joined efforts on CeBIT

DHI Water & Environment has decided to move its most heavy-computational software programs to the new Microsoft® Windows® x64 platform to meet customers’ needs for better perfomance so that current applications can run faster and more accurately. The high-performance 64-bit environment supports much larger addressable memory than the 32-bit environment and offers also better performance in terms of speed and reliability allowing customers to push DHI Software application beyond the limits of the 32-bit hardware.

Matthias Pätsch (DHI Germany) and Andreas Schönberger (Production solution Marketing Manager, Microsoft Germany) at CeBIT 2005, exhibition booth Windows x64 platform, presenting DHI 64-bit application

The first two programs that have been migrated to the Windows® x64 platform are the three-dimensional model (MIKE 3) for water flow and the vizualization program MIKE Animator. As part of the cooperation with Microsoft® DHI joined their exhibition at the CeBIT in Hannover, Germany.
