DHI Water & Environment is supplying the Danish Olympic Sailing Team (DOST) with daily current forecasts during the period when the Olympic Sailing Competitions take place in Sydney (17 to 30 September). DHI also provided DOST with current forecasts at the Olympic Sailing Competitions in Savannah in 1996.
The forecasts are made with a computer model of the tidal variations in Sydney Harbour and the area outside the harbour. The model has been set-up at DHI's head office in Denmark, while DHI Australia in Sydney produces the forecasts and provides them to the Danish Sailing Team.
